Post Jam General and Postmortem
POST JAM UPDATE
First just to get it out of the way, this update (V1_1) contains fixes for some of the feedback received during the ratings period. The main one being constraining the game to render at 64x64 which is the true resolution restriction of the game jam, this is why the original release was so silky smooth. I also balanced the game slightly by reducing values of training items, and making sure that the number of coins spawned increases per level always as sometimes you would only ever get 1 coin even on later levels, so it means that you should be able to get further along overall, hopefully improving the experience.
POSTMORTEM
Overall, I was really glad with the feedback I received during the ratings period. I know that the game has some issues, however my original idea was to have waves of enemies which you would need the knight to survive through, before returning back to the training room. This was cut completely as I was unable to work on the game for about 5 days. I am taking the other feedback I received and make sure I keep it in mind for future updates to this game and any other games I make.
